How to set up auto reply in Outlook on iPhone
Have you ever been on vacation or out of the office and wished there was a way to let your email correspondents know that you won’t be able to respond to their emails immediately? Well, now you can! Outlook for iPhone and iPad has a convenient feature that allows you to set up an automatic email reply.
Step 1: Launch Outlook on your iPhone
If you haven’t already, download the Outlook app from the App Store and launch it on your iPhone. Log in using your Outlook email credentials.
Step 2: Access the Settings menu
Navigate to the Settings menu by tapping the icon with three horizontal lines in the top left corner of the screen, then select the gear icon labeled “Settings.”
Step 3: Select “Automatic Replies”
Scroll down the Settings menu until you see the “Automatic Replies” option and select it.
Step 4: Choose your automatic reply settings
Toggle on the “Automatic Replies” switch, then select the start and end dates for your automatic replies. Next, choose which email addresses you want your auto-reply to apply to.
You can also edit the subject and message of your automatic reply. While composing your message, keep in mind that your auto-reply should be brief and provide appropriate information, such as your return date or who to contact in your absence.
Step 5: Save your automatic reply settings
Once you have set up your automatic reply settings, tap the “Save” button in the top right corner to save your changes.
Step 6: Turn off automatic replies when you return to work
Don’t forget to turn off your automatic replies when you return to work! Simply return to the “Automatic Replies” menu in the settings and toggle off the switch.
