Step 1: Turn on your Echo Dot and place it in pairing mode
To put your Echo Dot in pairing mode, press and hold the Action button (the button with a dot and a circle) on the top of the device until the light ring turns orange. This means that your Echo Dot is now ready to pair.
Step 2: Turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn it on. Your phone will start scanning for nearby devices.
Step 3: Connect to your Echo Dot
In the list of available devices, your Echo Dot should appear as “Echo Dot”. Tap on it to connect. Your iPhone may prompt you to enter a pairing code, but most of the time this step is not necessary.
